Greece's Keep Shelly in Athens just dropped the title track from their forthcoming EP for Planet Mu. "Campus Martius" thickens as its layers of synth melodies envelop this appropriately autumnal groove's piano loop. --Matt Sullivan, Altered Zones via Boiler Room
Campus Martius drops December 5th on Planet Mu
The Love/Lust 12" EP from D/R/U/G/S feels like the culmination of a great deal of restraint on Callum Wright's part; parceling out singles for a year while waiting for the right label and the right time. This makes his physical debut with Moshi Moshi's Tender Age imprint on May 9th all the more gratifying. Though the EP's title track doesn't even begin to showcase Wright's range across its three total tracks, he says it was "the first that felt right," so the tonal shift in this new remix from Keep Shelly in Athens feels significant. In their hands, "Love/Lust" becomes a more gregarious, Balearic reimagining of the original's precision IDM, with abbreviated synth and ambient swells replacing D/R/U/G/S' pulsating trance. --Dwight Pavlovic, Get Off The Coast
A persistent presence on these pages (and in our affections in general), Keep Shelly In Athens return once more with another golden remix, working their ever-evolving, mercurial magic on Canadian producer Blood Diamonds and his shimmering, sun-rise dance-romance “Lasting Love.” The result is something altogether more off-kilter than we expected, closer to creepy Victorian London night bus (carriage?) than idyllic Grecian stroll. --Jack Shankly, Transparent
Grecian duo Keep Shelly in Athens follows up their sold-out In Love With Dusk 12″ with more sensual lounge-house vibes in the form of a stellar new limited 7″ single, due next month from Altered Zones contributors Transparent. A-side “Hauntin’ Me” is a shimmering, sexy-smooth Balearic pop dream, perfect for soundtracking all the lingering yearning and regret of your next late-night comedown.

Keep Shelly in Athens say:
I don't know many things about Marumari, except for the fact that at some point after composing a bunch of brilliant ethereral/experimental/electronic tracks he gave up everything in order to marry his sweetheart somewhere in Arizona. What I can say for sure though, is that when I first heard "Birch Beer Forest", the notes whispered to me a melody from my childhood, transporting me to future times filled with music and trips to faraway places. I love this song...it is in tune with my soul.

It's been nearly a month since we first heard from secretive Grecian duo (?) Keep Shelly in Athens, and in the time since, their soothing, laid-back Balearic gold has become a staple for these steamy TX summer nights. The group sent over another just-finished hit in "A tear in my i", a melancholic, slow motion disco-soul love song haunted by ghostly, fleeting pitch-shifted vocals, and smooth 80s sax. This one officially makes them 4-for-4:
