Sup Pop uploaded a video where a common woman by the name of Maureen interviews guitar god J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., who was probably ripped out of his mind. Not a lot of ground is covered in the interview, here are five facts you might learn about Mascis:

1. Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses) and Sophie Trudeau (Godspeed You Black Emperor!) guest on his upcoming album.

2. He has a lava lamp in his studio. It's purple.

3. He's not into fingerless gloves.

4. There will be a second signature J Mascis guitar. It's also purple.

5. He likes hats… and hardcore.
