I remember, way back when, scouring Napster for rare acoustic versions of songs. Thankfully, we live in a more refined digital age where artists volunteer their songs for free download on sites like Soundcloud or Bandcamp. While we've known about Weekends for quite awhile as the shredding guitar and drums duo from Baltimore (not to be confused with Wire tourmates Weekend, or Dave Matthews Band enthusiasts Vampire Weekend), we totally missed their acoustic cut off of Friends Records' comp Friends and Friends of Friends, featuring tracks from Future Islands, Lonnie Walker, and Shields. Thank the lord for refined internet ethics and browsing.
