Last year, LA's Geneva Garvin, aka Geneva Jacuzzi, released Lamaze, a collection of songs recorded between 2004-2009 that was mastered by Ariel Pink and Jay Rajeck of TRS-80. Geneva's "Bad Moods," has this nonchalant attitude that's paired with a femme fatale swagger reminiscent of Madonna, Blondie, or Annie Lennox that's absolutely captivating. Its video counterpart is an adaptation of the story of Salome in the New Testament, wherein Ariel Pink plays the famously beheaded John The Baptist. If you're wondering whether or not Pink and Jacuzzi have a post decapitation make-out sesh, the answer is yes. --Ric Leichtung, Altered Zones
