White Rainbow: "Captain Sandwich Patrol"

Portland producer/multi-instrumentalist/sound artist Adam Forkner, founder of '90s space rock band Yume Bitsu, has been recording and performing under the White Rainbow moniker since 2005; he's collaborated with the likes of Atlas Sound, Dirty Projectors, Yellow Swans, and Devendra Banhart, and even released a few double albums on Kranky. Since early 2010, he's taken to self-releasing his blown-out, 2-bit krautscapes on his own Bandcamp-- including Escapades, a collection of live recordings from a trip to Brooklyn last October, and his most recent EP, Lays the Boogie Down. "Captain Sandwich Patrol," below, captures his dual fascination with repetition and degraded texture.
