Sweden's Korallreven released the track "Honey Mine" last year. Featuring the delicate voice of Victoria Bergsman from The Concretes/Taken By Trees over syncopated synths and dreamy, fluttering keyboards, "Honey Mine" had enough substance to stand alone, but also left a little something to the imagination. Accordingly, fellow Swede Dan Lissvik (one half of group Studio) took to remixing the cut last year, stripping away the vocals and emphasizing the jangles of guitar. Now, Canadian outfit Memoryhouse have veered "Honey Mine" in yet another direction, slowing the beat to accord it a more prominent role, and stretching the looped vocals until they fuse with the textures of the keys. The result, which premiered today on The Line Of Best Fit, is both pensive and contemplative, without losing the disco touches of the original. --Daniel Gottlieb
