Pure X bassist Jesse Jenkins just hipped us to a 12" compilation series he's launched with fellow Austin musician Kyle Dixon (Survive), describing the new imprint as a "home for wikkid jams of all styles that ppl are just sitting on: live tracks, one-off bands, rarities, etc." Brainclub Vol. 1 is an Austin family affair, featuring electronic and ambient splinter projects from the good folks behind Sleep Over, Pure X, Survive, AMASA•GANA, Thousand Foot Whale Claw, and LZX Industries. Stream the release in full below, and keep an eye out for Volume 2, which will reach beyond the city limits, and include cuts from Nike7Up, How I Quit Crack, and Floracide.
