Not Not Fun just re-issued Dolphins Into The Future's ...On Sea-Faring Isolation, the 2009 debut LP from Belgian tape-loop collagist and "Cetacean Nationalist" Lieven Martens, whose fixation with dolphin calls and the sound of lapping waves recalls a kind of maritime pre-singer/songwriter-era Ducktails. Loving this subtly psychedelic fan animation by Portland artist Adam Sammons for "Onset - Beyond Clouds", which may recall anything from cellular reproduction to a wingspan over a housing tract in the American Southwest.
On Sea-Faring Isolation reissue is available now from Not Not Fun. Last year's Ke Ala Ke Kua 12" on Kraak Records is already sold out, but take a listen to its title track:
