Autre Ne Veut says:
This year marked a reluctant return to active listening. The stuff that I heard was, for the most part, neither here nor there. I did, however, stumble across a few new acts that I found to be striking, crafting structurally peculiar pop forms: James Blake, Zambri. Some old friends really stepped up their game or tried something new. Some tracks here will remain, in my mind, blogosphere one-hit wonders or simply great radio jams. Tracks that are probably quite deserving didn't make this mix out of ignorance and oversight.
