"The Haunted Rider", from last summer's self-titled 7" by Florida's The Jameses, left us eagerly waiting to hear more. Brooklyn's Captured Tracks recently released the band's second 7", Caribou. "The 5th Dimension", its b-side, takes you through a dark and dizzying psychedelic pop frenzy of ascending vocals, sleigh bell cymbals, and hollow and percussive cut-up samples, all glued together by an everlasting harpsichord arpeggio. --Ric Leichtung, Altered Zones
