Wrapping up a five-day video-leaking spree on 20 Jazz Funk Greats, Brooklyn's Gatekeeper bring us the 6th of 6 videos from their new collaborative VHS tape with video wizards Thunder Horse, also responsible for the extravagant, backlit smoke displays that accompany the band's live set. "Storm Column", track 2 on the band's forthcoming Giza EP, soundtracks a cosmic (re)creation story starring an odd consortium of flying memes-- Lady Liberty, a game of chess, man-made simulacra of water and fire. They spin through a series of geometric configurations, swap some electro-magnetic spit, then converge in what is either a new solar system or a novel brand of DNA. Can't really get anymore 2.0-psychedelic than that, can we? (20 Jazz Funk Greats co-premiere)
Giza is out Monday, December 13th on Merok. The Gatekeeper/Thunderhorse VHS will be available next week via Merok, and thereafter from Hippos In Tanks. Peep the other five videos for the EP here
