In a video interview by Hungarian based Kultblog, British electronic techinicians Demdike Stare talk about hauntology, Spaghetti Westerns, and the dangers of allowing genres to be completely defined by their classic counterparts.

"One of the things we try to do is mix old hardware, old records, and new technology to further the genres of dance music a little more. So, techno into the future, and house into the future again... maybe 1992/1993 was the end of what you could really do with techno and house... people forget and get influenced by the early records and they don't necessarily take it to the next level."
