AyGeeTee (formerly AGT) recently remixed Lacc Fork's "Shiny Leather J" from his Fleet Swing EP. The original 96-second track seems like just a blip compared to the 8.5-minute-plus of the rework, which kind of revs up for a few minutes, sinks back into itself, then really kicks in towards the end. It's interesting how long AyGeeTee stretches out the original before dropping a weird banging rhythm. Lacc Fork treats us to a bit of shuffling, head-nodding bliss-- a quick burst and then-- it's over. The remix grinds out nearly seven minutes of foreplay, transforming what was once a barely tangible bite of sample-funk into a totally-worth-it climax.
