Beautiful Swimmers' "Big Coast" is a ghostly troupe clad in old-skool Afrocyborg paraphernalia stepping martially to channel-hopping handclaps. The twist lies in the tempo: where one might expect electroid induction, Jamaican rocking ensues instead. Physical blur segues into sonic echo, and our evasive dance across a ivory spiderweb reaches fever pitch within codeine parameters, as we are captured and sacrificed to the loa whose symbols decorate this dark cave. Unavoidable and eagerly embraced.
