Magik Markers drummer Pete Nolan has been churning out early am psych floaters under solo moniker Spectre Folk for more than a minute now, topping off a slew of limited-run tapes, CD-Rs, and other homegrown confections with his self-released Compass, Blanket, Lantern, Mojo LP late last year. Now that he has expanded the project's live incarnation to include Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley and New York Times food critic Peter Meehan, we cannot wait to hear what he will come up with next. Until then, "Burning Bridge" should be perfect lighter-holding fodder for fans of faded Americana and colorfully indulgent guitar noodling.
