Coyote Clean Up: Double Trouble

On his terminally chill debut CD-R Double Trouble, Michigan's Coyote Clean Up nails that ever-elusive '90s "pure moods" status you had no idea you'd been longing for, by crafting a tasteful, deceptively sophisticated collection of slow motion lounge-house grooves, all set adrift by eerie-smooth vocals that sound more at times like Sade than some young kid from metro Detroit. CCU's label Afternoons Modeling rightly describes the endlessly soothing Double Trouble as "tender vibes, sea mineral scented vox"; we call these languorous waves our default easy-listening early morning comedown jam of 2010.
