Moptaco Discs, possibly the label with the best name ever, sent over Optic Nest's new LP Entertainment a few weeks ago. The record is riddled with terrifying synthesizer squelches and pounding drum machines. Third track "Thirst" sounds like the native subway on Mars, while album closer "Football" is on the lighter side, funky even. Optic Nest recorded most of the album on old synthesizers (Buchla 200 system and Serge system), most likely fueled by his love for "Brittish 80s industrial stuff, Ralph Records, and the second Suicide LP." Jam this in headphones late at night after surrounding yourself with metal. (via Friendship Bracelet)
Entertainment is out now on Moptaco Discs
