We mentioned previously that Portugal’s Gala Drop were invited by Panda Bear to open his show at Governors Island on September 11. The band has a new 12″ EP due later this month, and they recently sent over two gorgeous, spawling new tracks from the release. The standout so far is the shimmering and thoroughly hypnotic tropical-psych journey “RAUZE”, which we’ve had on blast for the last couple of days. (via Gorilla Vs Bear)
Look for Gala Drop’s forthcoming 12″ EP to be released “end of September” on Golf Channel Recordings. The band also recently reissued their self-titled debut LP on gatefold vinyl, which can be purchased here.
