Tropic of Cancer: "The Dull Age"

"The Dull Age" is the first track off the final Tropic of Cancer release on Downwards, which is a compilation CD called The End of All Things. The Los Angeles goth-gazers--fronted by Camella Lobo, the lace-clad lady above--released their first 10" singles on the label, but will take future recordings to Blackest Ever Black. Like a lot of Tropic of Cancer tunes, "The Dull Age" melts gothic ambiance with shoegaze grit, resulting in a blissed-out drone. --Dale W. Eisinger, Altered Zones via FACT
