Bryter Layter: "First Light"

When label heads Mike Pollard and Joe Raglani (of Arbor and Pegasus Farms, respectively) pair up at their synthesizers as Bryter Layter, pupils kindly constrict from the dual wave-particle nature of light-- a recurring motif in the duo's upcoming album, Two Lenses. On "First Light," Pollard's penchant for mood-moving tonality and Raglani's patterned syncopation form an uplifting instance of glow. Together, they create a gentle radiance for our ears to bask in. --Ian Pearson, Altered Zones

Bryter Layter: "First Light"

UPDATE: Students of Decay recently uploaded this Brakhage-esque music video, utilizing superimposed bits of colored light over deep washes of grey tone to accompany the track.

The first 50 copies of Two Lenses come on clear vinyl and are available for pre-order from Students of Decay, set for release late October
