Psychic Ills just announced that their fifth album, Hazed Dream, will be put out by Sacred Bones this October. While the New York band's been laying low lately, excellent efforts like Dins and Early Violence from The Social Registry keep the band not far from mind. Hazed Dream is the first proper full-length in three years, but if that's not enough to get your mouth watering, the album was recorded live to tape by Mitch Rackin of Gang Gang Dance and Black Dice. "Mind Daze" and the album trailer below show a catchier, but still plenty drugged-out, side of the Ills. Guitarist Tres Warren shed some light on the LP, saying that "the music came out the old fashioned way... a way that had been avoided for a while... this album lives in a sunny place. A half memory. A hazed dream." --Ric Leichtung, Altered Zones via The Fader
