While the International Tapes crew was taking an equally well deserved and involuntary hiatus, we found ourselves being bombarded by stuff that would have readily posted the next day, if it were possible. Falling somewhere between morbid and fanciful, one such dual threat came from Tokyo’s HNC, aka Yuppa-- who is also a member of the Twee Grrrls Club, “Tokyo’s only and number one indie girls DJ club.” Standout "I Dream I Dead" bounces between sampletastic chop pop and a “sunny chilled out summer” vibe that almost justifies waiting 7-ish months to write about this.
