One thing that I’ve always loved about Tonstartssbandht is their embrace of the human voice. They know that the instrument can lead to just as many exquisitely bizarre moments as any other noise maker. Eola, the solo project of member/brother Edwin White, also works within this paradigm. In "Market," from his upcoming Deo Gracias tape on Chocolate Bobka's Curatorial Club, White’s back and forth vocals recall Harry Nillson at his most playful. However, all of its goofiness is filtered to abstraction through a vocoder, leaving more room for the imagination. --Samantha Cornwell, Visitation Rites
Deo Gracias comes out in September from Chocolate Bobka’s Curatorial Club
