My mind couldn't help but struggle with RVNG Intl's description of Pink Skull's new "Bee Nose" (Put Yr Face On)" single as "a woozy, hazy late-night phone call from the warped Scottish countryside circa 1998." The veiled Boards of Canada reference hinted at a touchstone that seemed miles away from the usual sweat-drenched, rug-cutting bangers I had come to expect from my favorite Philly disco freaks. However, no energy is lost in their foray into dreamy deep house.
