Bathetic continues to be one of my favorite outlets of left-of-center music and every time I get an email from them I'm stoked. Their 23rd release will be a marble-swirl 7″ from Cloudland Canyon. The a-side, “Mothlight Pt. 2″, is a 5-minute marble-swirl itself that creates a dense psychedelic landscape with its shadowy vocals, high-strung guitar and almost celebratory cymbal beat throughout the song.
