Premonition 13 is the newest project from doom metal OG Scott "Weino" Weinrich. Active since the mid-'70s, Weinrich has played in The Obsessed and Saint Vitus, and more recently, Shrinebuilder, a supergroup featuring Dale Crover of the Melvins, Scott Kelly from Neurosis, and Al Cisneros of Sleep and Om. In his latest, the nine-minute headbanger "B.E.A.U.T.Y.," Wino switches back and forth between brooding EBow suspensions and old school doom guitar licks, building a darkly evocative and epic fist-pumper. --Ric Leichtung, Altered Zones
