Last weekend's Neon Marshmallow Fest in Chicago was home to a screening by Portland's "Experimental 1/2 hour," a biweekly cable access TV show featuring in-studio performances, live performances, and music videos from some of independent music's weirdest. Its creators, Brock Fansler & Eva Aguila, just sent us the full 28-minutes episode, which was prepared especially for the occasion, and features a "best of" showcase of previous acts on the show, two in-studio performances by polyrhythmic Portland electronic quartet Operative, and a video submission from sound collagist Lavas Magmas, aka Luis Gonzalez. Stream the full shebang above in all its retro, blue-screened glory. --Emilie Friedlander, Altered Zones
