After an extended hiatus, the Don’t Die Wondering live club nights will be making a return in a reincarnated form, in association with friends Beach Creep, at the newly refurbished Shackelwell Arms in Dalston, London. The first night will see  performances from Keep Shelly In Athens, Paradise, and dj sets from C Powers, Double Denim Records, Don't Die Wondering, and Beach Creep.

Grecian duo Keep Shelly In Athens made a brilliant introduction early this year with singles "Running Out Of You" and  "Hauntin’ Me," coupled with their now sold-out releases from AZ contributing blogs Transparent and Forest Family label (run by Weekly Tape Deck and Gorilla Vs Bear). This second UK show will be a good opportunity to catch their AM-tinged, punch-drunk disco-funk in action.

When we came across East London duo Paradise, our ears instantly perked to their brooding, passionate chants of vampiric youth. Space and reserve play as much a part in these songs as the darkly beautiful melodies that front them, hinting at something grand but just beyond reach.

Our affinity for London-via-Atlanta dance reconfigurer C Powers is well documented. His latest offering is Labour, available as a free download or upcoming CDR from Friendship Bracelet's UUU Tapes, a collated set of tracks from the past year that exhibit his ever evolving technique and production style in one tightly knit package.
