Just a little less than a year ago, New Jersey indie band Big Troubles filmed themselves traveling to multiple fast food joints in their native Ridgewood and stuffing their faces with hamburgers, hot dogs, and soft drinks until they vomited. Some people found it repulsive, others found it amusing, but most of us had a hard time discerning whether the band were taking a jab at American overconsumption or trying to make it look kinda cool. Thunderhorse's new video for Ford & Lopatin's "World of Regret" carries this conceit into the virtual realm, seating the Brooklyn production duo at a greenscreened dinner table and watching as they chomp on a seemingly limitless supply of animated sandwiches, spinning pizza pies, and raspberries the size of Nerf balls. When they are nearly buried alive by this cornocopia of digital delights, the video becomes a kind of tongue-in-cheek cautionary tale about gluttony in our beloved information economy. I guess? --Emilie Friedlander, Altered Zones via Gorilla vs. Bear

Channel Pressure LP drops June 7th via the duo's own Mexican Summer imprint, Software
