After the Coathangers' "Hurricane", the awesome Atlanta foursome are back in our lives with their third LP, Larceny & Old Lace. The two elements in the title are well manifested in "Trailer Park Boneyard," wherein the usually cheeky, jokey, gritty girls show a more vulnerable and mature side in this blue garage ballad. The vocals lack the usual sarcasm and are more sincere and touching, almost in a punch-in-the-stomach kind of way (we all know that you're sensitive). With that being said, they remain faithful to their signature sound by cleverly breaking into instrumental noise right after demanding, "Set me free" This, boys and girls, is how punk becomes post-punk. --Coco Zoabi, International Tapes
