Brooklyn's Future Shuttle just dropped this softly spiraling video for "Fields of Dreams," the 8-minute centerpiece of their new Water's Edge EP. Camilla Padgitt-Coles, Jessa Farkas, and Lizzie Harper don't need a mechanical pulse to achieve a sense of momentum-- though they did just enlist Linnea Vedder of Cliffie Swan to lay down some drums during their live shows. On record, they leave that task up to competing swatches of synth, vox, and ribbony flute, which, like lapping waves, seem simultaneously to fuse and displace one another. If you've already pegged Future Shuttle for purveyors of diaphonous ambience, listen again; this stuff is as deep as the ocean, and as sad and quietly commanding as Nico covering "The End."

Water's Edge EP, which was produced by Sam Haar of Blondes, is out later this month on Intercoastal Artists. The 3-song 12" vinyl is accompanied by 6-song download of the full EP
