JEFF The Brotherhood: "Shredder"

I actually caught JEFF The Brotherhood at one of their last sets on their prolific 230 show stretch, a tour that almost lasted for the entire duration of 2010. It might as well have been their first, they showed no signs of fatigue as they ripped through over an hour of raw, dirty south garage jams. Their latest full length effort, We Are the Champions, shares the same intensity and is perfectly demonstrated in their latest track. "Shredder" starts off (almost literally) like a chainsaw, cutting through the air with a guitar driven ferocity that doesn't wane until it's over. In support of their album, JTB kicks off a tour at the end of April in Moscow (yes, Russia) and carries on until May 26th. If their road warrior chops from last year prove anything, they might not stop until next year. --Nathan Smith, Weekly Tape Deck
