Hailing from France and Scotland, Thomas Pittaluga and Aidan Dodds joined forces for the new ambient electronic project Acheron. Melting elements of psychedelia and drone, its constant drum loop "Rain Dance" is quite a contemplative listening experience, creating rather restrained soundscapes that are aptly visualized by Rob Feulner. Though nothing too demanding or experimental, Acheron still manages to let you gently float around through time and space. --Henning Lahmann, International Tapes
