International Tapes posted about Italian cold wave legends Chromagain back in January; keyboard player Silvio Ferrero even submitted a guest post on Turin contemporaries The Ghost Effect. As the re-release of their 1985 EP Any Colour We Liked LP draws near, we can’t quite escape the gravity of its sparse electronic surface. "I Walk in the City" is an existential strut across a metropolis of synthetic tears, an architecture of sound that includes not only the raw materials from which it is built, but also the currents of energy and information that flow through it.
